Bye bye, Frank.
I had been advocating the release of Frank Thomas the past week and a bit. Good on JP for making the gutsy move. Really, Thomas became much more of a problem than a positive for a team in a very fragile state right now. The Jays couldn't afford to have his rally-killing bat in the line-up, nor could they afford have his bad attitude infect the clubhouse. Its obvious, if Thomas wasn't going to play he was going to pout about it. And it's too bad because he's confirmed what White Sox GM, Kenny Williams said he was: A selfish baby. So with Thomas gone, the likable Matt Stairs takes his place as full-time DH. I'm not sure if Stairs can consistently be effective? Wonder what Barry Bonds is doing?
3 of 4 from the Tigers would be nice. They'll most likely split.
The Habs are a rough first period in game 7 away from losing that series. What a fold job that would be. Habs fans must be drawing up their excuse lists as we speak. I'm sure the first order of business will be to compare the Canadiens' superb season to the Leafs dismal campaign. If that's the case, then all is good, right?
Still can't believe I picked the Senators to make a run to the Stanley Cup finals. Guess I didn't want to believe that team was as disasterous as it really became.
And how about those Raptors? Back in the playoffs and down by 20 after the first half.
Thank God for good women. I've got the best. I'd be nowhere without her.
