Tavares to Toronto? Why not?

If Tampa wins that top pick.. don't be surprise if they solicit deals from interested parties.

BB would be stupid to mortgage the complete future for this kid, but he'll put together a competitive package.

Let's see.. 1st, 2nd, Kaberle and or Kubina and a boatload of cash? Burke most-likely has even more tricks up his sleeve. Wonder if anyone else does?

Tavares in Tampa Bay won't make one bit of difference to the Bolts' bottom line. Will he help them win on the ice? Perhaps. Will several picks and veteran all-star blueliners? Perhaps.

And that cash? Oh yeah, the Leafs have more than God. A big fat cheque from MLSE could help the Lightning get back on fiscal track.

All this considered, if the Islanders get the top pick... they're keeping it. They need an attraction and Tavares might fill a section or two. I know Tavares isn't keen on the Island. He'll go, but won't like it...at least in the beginning. HE WANTS TO BE A MAPLE LEAF.

As long as its legal... I think BB should use the Leafs' millions aggressively and creatively, to get what he wants, and of course, what the soon-to-be top pick wants.
