Get hooked tonight

TSN finally picked up on the Jason Allison thing... we knew on Monday. Not that it's going to amount to much. Or that is matters much. But hey, we're the little guy:

Now to tonight:

After a season and a half without, the Knights once again boast a blue chip goaltender. Michael Hutchinson come to London to not only bring back respectability back to the crease at John Labatt Centre, he's here to help lead the Knights past their superior foil out of Windsor. Had only the Hunters acquired him last Spring...

Anyway, the former Barrie Colt and 3rd round pick of the Bruins joins me on "The Hook" tonight.

Andrew Parr's struggling at the Seaforth Country Classic this week. I think we needs to get "hooked". It worked for Mitch Sutton (okay, not really), hopefully we can give another of London's talented golf guys some positive vibes through our airwaves. Keep your figures crossed that Andrew makes the cut this afternoon. Or we may get cut.

I'm hoping take some calls on a few things tonight as well. Do you have Olympic hockey fever yet? I don't. Is that wrong? Am I not fulfilling my duty as a red-blooded Canadian by not giving a shit about this stuff? Lemme know.

And am I being over the top in suggesting Western is Canada's supreme sports university? I'd like to get into that too if we have time. From top to bottom, I challenge anyone to find a stronger school than Western in all 38 major sports contested at the university level in Canada. I think I'm right on the money when I say UWO leads the pack, in the OUA, and the CIS. Some of our friends, particularly out of market, think I'm an idiot. And that's okay. They're wrong, but again, its all okay. As long as they continue to listen to "The Hook".

We're up again tonight, 8:00 at http://am980.ca/

Tomorrow -- http://rednationonline.ca/ Ian Clarke, right after TFC/Sounders. We'll chat Reds playoff hopes plus Premiership talk. There's something about that Man City, I say. I think they're top 4.. yes, it's early.

And Chris Robinson hopes to be on the Cubs' September 1st call-up list. He's on the verge of his dream. Suspenseful? Nah. Maybe Chris will have some news to break when we chat with him Saturday afternoon?
