Hey good hookin'

Show 3 down and out.

Doing two hours of on-air stuff is exhausting. I know a lot of people believe TV/radio work is easy, but it's not. I'm used to ten minutes on-air per day on the television side of things, so roughly two hours essentially without a script and certainly without a prompter is substantial for me. Long, tiring, and more fun than one should be allowed to have. It's awesome.

It was a pretty good show overall. We got off to a flying start then fizzled a bit, before finding our groove again. I feel like I'm on track, then slip off, then get back online, then come off, then I'm back on again. Hey, it's part of the growing process with a new show; but we're finding out way, and "at the end of the day" we're providing another opportunity to talk local sports in London. And what's wrong with that??? I'd love to hear for our listeners at some point soon.

Again, our opener was solid. I really am addicted to brick breaker on blackberry. It's nuts. We also had some funny, interesting stuff on the Real Madrid/TFC laugher. 5-1 RM. lol Will matches like this propel TFC and MLS to a higher level of play? I doubt it. We'll see what Canadian Soccer blogger, Ian Clarke thinks on tomorrow's show.

Pat Curcio was a lot of fun to talk to. Smart guy and really plugging that Eurocan Cup. Wonder if people will show up for it? Knowing how much people in London adore their Knights I'd be surprised if the JLC isn't packed, at least for the final game. The Knights will have to be involved in it though. I will say it's a neat concept. If it has staying power it could be one of those annual events that both the locals cherish and visitors want to be a part of it. London need another one of those badly.

I really appreciated Eric Collins' contribution from the ball park. He's the Majors' in-game announcer and was nice and organized enough to take the time to join us with a few game updates. Eric, you're a good man. Great voice BTW. I'm still not convinced London wins the series with Toronto. But winning game 4 and tieing the series helps.

Thanks to Jim Rooney for his time. As commissioner, he's at the helm of one of Canada's longest running Sports leagues. He's a good person to talk to because he really cares about what he's representing. I got that from him when he ran the Guelph Storm. I get the same from him now.

Good luck to Darren Ferguson and the folks in Parkhill. Their new arena is taking shape, thanks to almost 2 million dollars in funding from our government, and hopefully more cash from the community. Darren was nice enough to join me on show 3. And nice/crazy enough to invite me to tomorrow's fundraising event at the arena grounds.
