What's wrong with this guy?
What's wrong with his game?
Why can't he become the player he was destined to be?
Witnessing Rob Schremp's professional career slide backwards is tough and painful. He's one of the better guys you'll meet in the game, but no longer one of the game's better talents.
It wasn't supposed to be this way. He was a first round pick afterall, with skills expected to pay da bills. He was a filthy OHL'er, a scoring champ. He racked'em up in the 'A' too. So again, what's the deal here?
Seems to me this disappointment-in-progress is nearing it's final disappointing conclusion.
Now what?
With NHL work drying up fast it appears so too is the window on a career many of us, perhaps foolishly, thought was a promsing one.
Rob Schremp was placed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. He was claimed by the NY Islanders. Perhaps a tandem with Tavares is the tonic he's needed???
