And 29th place is still the deal, man. So how do the Leafs respond now? Odds are they won't beat the Caps again. So then it's gotta be about the effort on Saturday. It all starts, ends... and really, anything can happen with effort. A team like the Leafs, so far down with so far to go, cannot afford a lengthy lapse. More of that relentless effort will help them avoid too much trouble. But are they capable? For the Washington game I'll take everything from that final frame in Boston minus everything after Jason Blake's "penalty".
