What else is new?
Well, for one 'Toronto' made the call taking back that Canucks goal last night. Of course, the guys in the "Big Joke" are simply jealous that no playoff hockey is going on in their own backyard, so why not screw over those lucky enough to be involved? Fuckin' Toronto. It's all your fault. As usual.
What is it with Sports figures and hotel rooms? Another has lost his life in one of these lifeless places. Shitty, man.
From the Canadian Press:
DENVER - Police say Colorado Rockies president Keli McGregor was found dead in his hotel room in Salt Lake City on Tuesday morning. Detective Rick Wall said two of McGregor's associates couldn't get in touch with him and that someone entered his room at the hotel in downtown Salt Lake City and found McGregor unconscious. Wall said it was unclear who discovered the 48-year-old McGregor. Police were called about 9 a.m. local time and emergency workers arrived on the scene and were unable to revive him. Wall said the investigation has been turned over to the medical examiner's office. He did not have any additional details.

Quit your whining
Why do so many people resent Toronto?
What a sad existence it must be. To wake up every morning hating something so deeply...and within your own country. Why? It's pathetic.
I feel sorry for the saps who can't get through the day without bashing Canada's biggest. Yet, I suppose its a right of passage for Canadians? Trite and unfounded generally, but a past time no less. We are a country of complainers after all.
I bring this up in response to nationwide negativity surrounding talk of a second NHL in Toronto. WTF? Honestly? Anyone who thinks its a bad idea is way too congested with BS to think smartly and clearly. A second NHL team in the GTA would offer greater possibilities and opportunities than any other expansion/relocation candidate. That's a bold statement...and bet I'd place any day. Speaking of, the NHL's going to Vegas, right? It should put down a few bones on Tronna2. Imagine the win fall? For everyone. The league. The game. The Leafs, and of course the T.O. hockey bashers coast-to-coast who'd have twice as much to loathe and obsess over. Just imagine!

I love the World Baseball Classic
In 10 years and with a little love from our American friends this thing is going to be huge. World Cup size? Nope. Big enough to capture plenty of interest in baseball friendly parts of the globe? No doubt.

He's the new man when it comes to career goals in the OHL. 215 and counting. Congrats, Johnny! A well deserved mark. Now go win another championship, will ya!!
Kudos and happy birthday to Toronto! Yesterday's USA/Canada opener proved there is a passion for baseball in the Big Smoke. 43 grrrr under the roof and louder than anything USA reliever, JJ Putz had ever heard. Not too bad for a place considered passive. Hey, I've always said this about Toronto sports fans: just give'em the heck something to cheer about. Good on'em!I hope Monday's elimination game against the Azzurri has a similiar atmosphere but a different outcome.
Now where the hell are all the American supporters?
Check out my recent interview with Team Canada outfielder, Adam Stern:
Anyway, fun time for Sports in general. WBC, Brier, Stangs' hockey and basketball teams headed to Nationals and of course...John Tavares!
