If every game were as hotly contested and well crafted as a Martin/Howard showdown curling might just become something even bigger. Something beyond what its content being. Something that could transform legions of casual hacks into diehards. In the meantime I'll take more clashes between the two best skips on the planet.

Martin's into Sunday's Brier championship...thanks to another thrilling extra end last rock win over Howard. And if the curling gods are truly shining on Calgary this weekend, the biggest rivals on pebbled ice will meet again before the week is out. They just have to. Another hack like me is almost there. Another epic is all it will take.
