Hooked up

First show, post-show breakdown:

Poor, Ian Campbell. We almost blew his head off with a pair of super charged head phones. He was good sport about it and a great guest. Made us both laugh. Ian's done a wonderful job spreading the word about FC London. The community responded. His squad delivered. I think we've got a winner. I'm pretty sure of it.

I doubt there's a bigger supporter of Canadian baseball than Tom Valcke. He's the president of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Enough said. Oh, I'll add this: he's one of the best interviews in Canadian Sports. He's friendly, frank and genuine. Thanks, Tom. We'll be chatting soon.

Like Tom, Sam Cosentino was bound for cottage country on Friday night. Unlike Tom, we weren't able to connect with him. We're going to try again on Saturday. I really want to talk baseball with this guy. He's as close to the Jays and their fans as one can get. He's the man-in-the-stands after all. We'll get it done.

And Ben Knight of onwardsoccer.com. He tells it like it is. Well, at least from his perspective. Hey, that's what you want from a pundit/blogger/expert/fan like Ben. His passion and understanding for soccer are remarkable. I hope he comes back on the show in the future.

Saturday's show, our 2nd ever, should be pretty terrifc.

Joining me at 5:30pm at am980.ca, Majors' manager Roop Chanderdat, Sam Cosentino?, NC State golf coach, Richard Sykes, pensionplanpuppets.com chief blogger, Julian Sanchez and local golf professional, Bob Martin.

  1. The show is a winner and your passion for sport oozes out of you, even though the radio Norm. I'd wish you good luck, but you don't need it because you're great at what you do. By the way, I never did hook that bass!
