Leafs, Allison trying again

Jason Allison is about to give it another shot...with the Leafs.

I've been told by a source close to Allison that the 34-year-old Ex-Knight has been invited to camp with the Buds, if not just to tryout, simply see where's he at.

If he feels good, he'll hang in there until he's either cut or... If it's just not happening, he'll go home. Again, it's a simple fact finding mission for the NHL veteran.

Physical troubles have kept Allison out of the NHL the past 3 seasons, but word is he's feeling better than he has in years. His last go in the show was with the Leafs in 2005/2006. A player many considered lazy and slow at the time still produced. Allison put up 60 points in just 66 games that season, one in which cracks in his health began to show.

So will the new look Leafs also include an old face in Allison. Highly unlikely, but still an interesting possibility.
