Favourite acquisition so far?

Okay, Kris Versteeg's been good. I like Colby Armstrong's grit and poise. Mike Brown fits in on that whale of a 4th. How about Clarke MacArthur? Well, he could turn out the steal of the deals.

Right off the bat I love the name, and his game. Just caught a little highlight package (or is that hilites.. brent?) of the kid taking out the trash to earn his keep. You know, the rebound reward. The grinders' gold. The fruitful follow-up. And it's the kind of stuff no Leaf of the past while (seems like a decade) had been willing to dig up. He's already scored four times in blue and white. The first of dazzling variety, numbers three and four against the mighty Pens. And if our new friend can make a habit of hanging around that other end, the benefits may just surprise him and his employer. Based on talent and opportunity the possibility is there, certainly if not definitely when sharing the ice with an energetic enigma and a young star in launch mode. The result could be a career season for a guy who's never before cracked the 20 goal plateau. And wouldn't that be something, extra. A nifty little pick-up, almost an afterthought, further helping to shape a product terribly rough around the edges for too long.
